Viral Video Recap: Devil Baby, Peter Pan and a Talking Dog

This week’s viral video recap reminds us that not all babies are cute and cuddly — at least, not all robotic babies. The “Devil Baby Attack” video garnered 36 million YouTube views in eight days.

Viewers can see a true birds’-eye view from a camera attached to a falcon attacking its prey. From the domesticated side of the animal kingdom, a cat struggles to reach checkmate and a husky protests his owners’ request to take him to the kennel.

And we conclude with a love story. An actor broke from the script of Peter Pan to propose to the woman he loves on, and off, stage. The actor in a dog costume in the background wins the most excited award.

The Donald made quite the offer to President Obama and stirred up some serious viral buzz. And funnyman Stephen Colbert just couldn’t resist making an enticing offer of his own in return.

Big Cat Rescue offered up some delicious treats to their friendly felines. We guess these cats weren’t so interested in carving decorative jack-o’-lanterns with those pumpkins.

And we won’t judge you for laughing at this sports reporter getting hammered with a baseball right before going on air.

These memes and videos are sure to keep you giggling while you count down the moments till trick-or-treating time.

Viral Video Recap: Rudd Thrashes Fallon in Lip Sync Battle and More

Several tried and true viral video tropes made the cut this week, as the Internet was set afire by a clever celebrity prank, a soaring Pelican wearing a GoPro, a satirical college advertisement, Jimmy Fallon and, of course, a cantankerous cat.

Fallon brought one of his most popular segments — lip sync battles — to his new gig as host of Late Night, but he was forced to bow down and concede defeat after Paul Rudd nailed a version of Queen’s “Don’t Stop Me Now.”

While Rudd got a handshake and a hug for his efforts, a dog was captured on video getting completely stonewalled in its attempt to give a high-five to an unwilling cat. As you might expect, the Internet was amused.

An unsuspecting auto reporter was certainly not amused, however, when NASCAR driver Jeff Gordon, posing as a cab driver, took the reporter on a high-speed joyride with a police car in hot pursuit. The stunt was Gordon’s revenge for an article the reporter had written saying a previous Gordon prank video was staged.

Viral Video Recap: Astronauts Tackle Life on Earth and More

Astronauts may seem superhuman, but even the space-soaring among us can’t escape road rage or a failed first date.

This week’s Viral Video Recap features a quirky promotional video for superstar astronaut Chris Hadfield‘s new book, An Astronaut’s Guide to Life on Earth.

In the video, an astronaut struggles to tackle everyday earthly challenges — vacuuming, making breakfast, mowing the lawn — in a full space suit. But life gets a lot easier when he discovers Hadfield’s how-to guide.

This isn’t Hadfield’s first YouTube moment. Perviously, he recorded a music video from space.

Also in this week’s recap: A spooky Halloween prank, insane facts about the cuttlefish and a cat who desperately needs your attention.

Viral Video Recap: Must-Watch Memes of the Week

Well, folks. You heard it here first: Cats are still cute. Which is why the frisky little felines take up the majority of this week’s viral video recap.

We’ve got a cat that fights a “ghost” and cats that are jerks — equally adorable, of course. And for those puppy supporters, there’s something here for you too — a corgi who has recently discovered the mirror. Don’t worry pup, humans often have the same confused expression when gazing at their reflections.

But it’s not all puppies, kittens and rainbows on this week’s edition of viral fun. There’s a common (and startling) theme of electricity going on, from fences to what electricity tastes like.

And Ben Stiller shows up as well, because what’s a viral recap without a movie star embarrassing himself? Check out all the fun in the video above, and make sure to tell us your favorite meme of the week in the comments.

Viral Video Recap: Jean-Claude Van Damme’s Epic Split and More

Some car companies use test drivers and special instruments to measure the precision of its vehicles. Volvo uses Jean-Claude Van Damme’s legs.

This week’s Viral Video Recap features a Volvo ad that shows off the automaker’s steering stability as Van Damme balances in a full split between two reversing trucks.

The real, live test has the action star and martial artist slowly lower into the split as the sun sets on the horizon.

In another video this week, the NBA gets into Christmas spirit. Several basketball superstars take to the court with a rendition of “Jingle Bells.” Their instruments: Basketballs thrown through jingle bell-laced hoops.

Other highlights include a cat going crazy for a banana, Chris Hadsfield celebrating Movember and a toddler fascinated by ice on a sidewalk.
